  But I love my Skechers

I dropped Q off at VBS and pulled RJ up to the gym. The temperatures were pretty moderate today, certainly better than Monday or Tuesday. At the gym, I realized I left my sneakers at home, so we went in search of a shoe store and the best we could do was a Burlington Coat Factory, I picked up a pair of Skechers for $30. They'll be my everyday shoes from now on and I'll leave my sneakers in the kids trailer.

RJ walked into Baby-sitting and paused momentarily, for some reason, he's afraid of the guy babysitters at the gym. Lucky for him, Miss Robin would be in later and he loves Miss Robin.

I took it really easy, it's been almost two months since I've been in the gym. Even with light weights and frequent breaks, my blood pressure dropped and I thought I was going to pass out several times. That'll go away eventually. I think I need to bring an extra pair of cycling clothes with me when I go to the gym, it was icky putting the wet cycling clothes back on.

When I picked up Q at school, a mother walked by and told me that she passed me on the road and that I was nuts for riding in this weather (but she said it in a nice way). After the ride, it was lunch, protein smoothie, and a nap.

Sorry, the title wasn't a review of my new Skechers, it was a line from the movie "10 Things I Hate About You" (there's a link to the movie in the title) starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, Alison Janney, and a couple of people from "3rd Rock from the sun"

It's a funny scene and the next line is "That's because you don't have a Prada backpack"

In 1986, doctors discovered that my Kidneys were failing, they gradually got worse until September 25, 2000 when my mother donated a kidney.

After the transplant, I felt like I needed to prove something to myself, so I took a bicycle tour(PACTour) across the US. I've competed at the US and the World Transplant Games as well as in Ultra distance events. My transplant will likely fail in the next couple of months and I'm currently preparing to go on dialysis.
