  My Name Is Earl

Christine Goodenow of Southern Oregon used a stolen credit card to buy a lottery ticket. A ticket which turned out to be a $1 million winner. After reading this article in the Washington Post I thought she was on the lam and since Authorities hadn't found the $35,000 installment payment she received, I assumed she bought a pickup, filled it with beer(maybe even splurging on ZIMA), and headed to Vegas.

Then I thought, wouldn't it be nice if she made a list like Earl and was working to right all the wrongs in her life. Apparently she is in custody, so I'd like to ask the Jackson County Jail to make sure that Christine doesn't miss any of this week's exciting episode of Earl.

  Chained To My Bicycle

I took a week off the bike which rapidly turned into 2 and a half weeks. That's about as long as I can take off the bike these days before my blood pressure lets me know who is the boss of me. I started to get the headache and proving once again that I'm really stupid, I convinced myself there had to be some other cause.
Nope.
Blood Pressure.
179 over 114.
Which is in the "Take me to the emergency room" range. I jumped on the bike for an hour. That brought my pressure down to 159 over 94 and that night I upped my anti-hypertension medication.
The next night, I couldn't really sleep that well, so I set up my bike on the trainer and rode from 1am to 1:30am. I'll probably end up doing the same again tonight.

So Please, never ask me, "Are you still riding?" because I am chained to my bike whether I like it or not.

In 1986, doctors discovered that my Kidneys were failing, they gradually got worse until September 25, 2000 when my mother donated a kidney.

After the transplant, I felt like I needed to prove something to myself, so I took a bicycle tour(PACTour) across the US. I've competed at the US and the World Transplant Games as well as in Ultra distance events. My transplant will likely fail in the next couple of months and I'm currently preparing to go on dialysis.
