6/16/07 - The Transplant Athlete made it into Kansas before being pulled from the solo edition of the 2007 Race Across America. Amazingly, his legs felt fine at that point, but his speed was so slow that he failed to meet the mandatory time cut-offs. Enjoy the photos above. Read all about it in his blog.

11/10/06 - The Third Annual Katie Ride For Life is being held on April 21, 2007. I've already put it on my Calendar for next year, have you? If you are in the area sign up and ride, its for a good cause. Last year they raised funds to put organ donation specific learning materials in High Schools across Florida.
3/24/06 - The Transplant Athlete will be riding in the Second Annual Katie Ride For Life on the Barrier Island of Amelia, just east of Jacksonville, Florida. The ride is scheduled for April 22, 2006. If you are in the area sign up and ride, its for a good cause. Last year they raised funds to put organ donation specific learning materials in High Schools across Florida.
2/22/06 - The Transplant Athlete has returned from Bike Sebring, the 24 Hour Time Trial in Sebring, Florida. He covered 315.9 miles in 24 hours. Read more about it in his Blog, The Transplant Athlete.
2/15/06 - We're moving our inventory to a larger warehouse, consequently some orders may be delayed a bit, but we should be back to normal by Tuesday February 21st. Our new facility should allow faster shipments, more details to follow.
1/28/06 - The Transplant Athlete has registered for the Solo Traditional Division of the Race Across America. Riders in this category ride non-stop from Oceanside, CA to Atlantic City, NJ. True to the traditional rules, riders must complete the event within 48 hours of the fastest rider in their category. Based on the 2005 Race, the winner covered the distance in under 9 days and 9 hours and an official finisher would have to cover the distance in under 11 days 9 hours to qualify as an official finisher. Once again, the Transplant Athlete will be working with the Give Life Foundation to raise awareness for the critical shortage of blood, tissue, and organs in the US today. 7/21/05 - The Transplant Athlete returns from the World Transplant Games in London, Ontario with a Bronze medal for the 20Km Road Race.
6/29/05 - Team Give Life completes the world's toughest endurance race in 7 days, 14 hours, and 39 minutes, but is still looking for donations to reach their goal of $100,000 to raise awareness for blood, tissue, and organ donation. Click here to make a donation.
6/1/05 - The Transplant Athlete will be leaving for San Diego and RAAM on June 15th. Please help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 for organ, blood, and tissue donation by donating here. If you want to be a hero, donate blood right now. There is less than a two day reserve in the US blood supply today. Please note orders may take a few extra days to ship between now and the end of June because of our participation in RAAM.
3/17/05 - The Transplant Athlete to ride in the Katie Ride For Life. This organization is working to introduce the Decision Donation Curriculum at the sophomore level to 92 schools in Florida. The Katie Foundation was created to honor Katie Caples, a high school athlete who died in a tragic car accident in 1998. Her family generously donated her organs to help others.

1/31/05 - The Transplant Athlete has just committed to the grueling ultra-endurance race known as RAAM. The mission is to raise awareness for the urgent need for Blood, Organ, and Tissue donation. Over 87,000 Americans are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant and the Nation's Blood Supply stands at a mere two days. We'll be crossing the country in a little over 5 days and hopefully reaching thousands of people along the way. Read more about it...
1/7/05 - The Transplant Athlete will be at Bike Sebring a 24 Hour Time Trial on February 19 and 20. If you are in the area, stop in at the Sebring Race Track and wish him luck. His support vehicle is a blue Ford Escape.
