Cycling For Cadence
Cadence. Not important to a beginner, but it becomes
increasingly more important as your fitness progresses. Most people try to spin at 90 - 100
rpms on the flats and in time trials, this takes the effort off your legs
and puts it on your cardiovascular system, essentially saving the legs. Then these same people
grind uphill at 60 - 70 rpm, as most people know, this really wears the legs down, so
having the ability to pedal at a high cadence uphill takes the strain
off the legs, but its obviously hard to do this unless you've trained for it and have the POWER to be able to spin
uphill.
Join Chris Carmichael and CTS Pro coach Jason Tullous as they lead Cycling for Cadence.
Carmichael Training Systems is proud to bring you this instructional workout that will help you:
- Enhance your aerobic fitness while developing cycling specific strength
- Learn techniques that are applicable to all levels of cycling—casual or racing
- Increase your pedaling efficiency
- Enhance your ability to respond to cadence changes during a ride
The Train Right DVD series is designed as a tool for athletes of all levels and abilities. Each disc in the ten-disc series concentrates on a specific skill that will lead to significant, measurable improvements in your fitness whether you’re cycling at an elite level, or have just recently taken up the sport.
